Ways to Say I Love You

The Cliffs Blog, Jersey City, NJ Express your love to someone special this month by trying these ideas for how to meaningfully say I love you.

There are plenty of opportunities in any day to express your love and care for someone close to you. Unfortunately, it’s often more difficult than we think — or it’s at least easy to forget! Make a conscious effort to express your love this February by trying one or all of these ways to say “I love you” to someone you love in or out of the Cliffs in Jersey City, NJ.

Say it!

Sometimes a simple, “I love you,” can mean a lot to someone. Call up a friend or family member and engage in casual but meaningful conversation. End it with an “I love you,” and maybe an expression of thanks for something specific and it can make you and the receiver feel great.

Write it.

If you’re more comfortable with the written word than coming up with something on the spot, make a clever DIY Valentine’s Day card and write a note of love, care, and thanks on the inside. You also won’t have to feel too self-conscious giving a card since it’s a seasonal favorite, so it’s a good way to take advantage of Valentine’s Day, whether you have a significant other or not.

Draw it.

Expressing your love for someone isn’t restricted to what you can express through words. If you’re more artistic, or if you just want to try your hand at a new hobby like painting or drawing, pick up your materials and make a work of art just for the person in mind. It’ll be something they’ll cherish forever that can remind them of you and your relationship.

Gift it.

Valentine’s Day is popular for many reasons, one of them being that it’s an excuse to pamper and be pampered! Give a parent, friend, family member, or significant other a physical token of your love by getting them something they might appreciate, whether that be a classic like a bouquet of flowers, a box of chocolates, or a teddy bear or something more creative and specific to them.
